The Holidays

Christmas is right around the corner! This year has gone by so fast. I have so many memories that make me smile. In March my son Noah Bernard was born. In June, Steve and I shared our 4 year anniversary. In July, I got to witness a awesome girl get married to a great guy. In August, my daughter celebrated her 3rd Birthday. Then we had Halloween and Thanksgiving, and watching my children grow, every day of the year.

Ava has been in heaven with all the snow we have gotten this week. She can't take her eyes off the window. She is starting to get a cold, so she hasn't been able to go out and play in the snow. All she wants to do is throw snowballs at me and her daddy! She got to throw one on Tuesday when she went to school. One wednesday, we had a blizzard, so she didn't get to attend school (I couldn't get out of the driveway). Ava is also getting very excited about Santa Clause! I need to get her to the mall so she can get her picture taken with him. She can't wait to bake cookies and put the glass of milk out for him. We already wrote him a letter, and got one back, and also made out a christmas list. I believe that the presents don't get put under the tree by mom and dad. Santa puts the presents there on Christmas eve night when kids are all sleeping, so my tree stays empty till that night. Also, cause Noah would destroy them, and it would just bother Ava that the presents aren't being open.

Noah has decided to walk, and walk everywhere. He doesn't like to be held much, but that is okay with me cause that means he will be independent. He still cuddles with Mommy, but only when he is tired or not feeling well. Noah has been sick all week, but is getting better. He is still on formula, but eating some solids for me too. I am blending up chicken breast in a food processor (not into a liquid) just chopped and I put cream of chicken soup on it. He loves it!! I also do a baked potato with green beans and chicken with green beans. He seems to like that better than the baby food, and it is cheaper!! He has accomplished so much in the 9 months he has been here! Im still working on the Dada thing, but he can say Momma. He only says it when "he" wants to though. I thought that maybe he was a little behind, but he is ahead in other things so Im not worried anymore. Everyday he amazes me.

On another note, we will be spending 2010 in a different home :-( We are not sure what we are going to do yet, buying or building. Till then we are going to rent.

Steve and I have a lot on our plates this month! Christmas is right around the corner, and believe it or not, we can not wait till it is over! I love Christmas and my daughter is starting to "get it", but all the shoppers, traffic and stress that comes with Christmas is not my thing. I have chosen to do all of my shopping this year at Wal-Mart (cause Princeton only has a wal-mart). Forget about going to Peru, I hate having to wait, and the drive there only to find out that they sold out what you went for.
My kids are my life, and that is no joke. Im a stay home mom, and when I do leave the house, I have one in my arms and one holding my hands the entire way. I don't know what it is like to leave the house without kids. Im sure I would be lost. My oldest, Ava, has started "Tiny Tigers" in Princeton, she is on her 4th week of going and loves it. Im sure we will put in it again next year to help her get ready for preschool. My son, Noah, was 9 months old on the 1st of December and is trying to walk already. He can take 4 to 5 steps before he falls, but he gets right back up and tries it again. He has 6 teeth already and I know there are more trying to come in. Steve is keeping busy with work at PHS. He has taken on so many responsibilities there to make it possible for me stay home with the kids. I can't complain, because he is home by 4 every night.
We are both working on getting into shape and better health. Together we go to the BCMC every night at 430 and motivate each other to get a great work out in, then its home to have a nice healthy meal with the kids. We really don't have much time with family or even friends during the week, but always try and catch up on the weekends. Steve and I have said that the best kind of night is Us and the kids watching a movie in our theatre together. So with that said, we really don't go out much!!
Not sure what else to talk about since this is my first blog! I probably won't post something everyday, maybe once a week. Have a wonderful week.
