July is almost over!

It's been a while since my last post! I have been busy with the house and, of course, the kids. We have been pretty busy all summer! My yard has tons of landscaping the needs attending to and we are still remodeling the house a bit too! Since the last post we have put in a new kitchen and floor, redid Ava's room and the kids bathroom! I will have to post some pictures of the work we have done.

Ava's is going to start her dance classes soon and is signed up for a Fancy Nancy program through the BCMC. She will also start Tiny Tigers Preschool in November again! My little girl is growing up so fast. Her Birthday is August 19th and she will be 4 this year! She is such a diva too, dresses everyday, fingers and toes always painted, has to match her outfits. Im going to have a big problem with her when she is older!

Noah has learned so much in these last couple of months, it hurts to see him get bigger too! He is my baby! He can say Ball now, and he loves to play with any kind of ball, baseball, soccer, football, basketball, etc.... he has learned to throw it and kick it and he loves it. He also loves his trucks and drives them across the floors making the vroom sound while doing it. He is so damn cute. There is nothing he won't eat or do, no fear at all.

Other than your everyday chores and chaos of the kids, we are just enjoying life and taking it one day at a time. If we can't take the kids with us, then we don't do it, usually.
Im going to have my hands full these next couple of months with Ava's birthday, dance and other activities she will be in! I may not get back to the blog for a while.

Spring

Wow, Easter has come and gone! It was at my new house this year! Over 17 family members came to my Easter dinner. Of course, I had tons of house work to do before Easter even came. We had new laminate floors installed, painted all rooms on main level, repaired trim and replaced the countertop in the kitchen. That isn't even half of what we have already done to the house. I can't wait till the day that we don't have to be remodeling, I can't keep up with the dust already. On the plus side, I don't have to worry about the landscaping too much. I should have some pictures of the new house up soon!
Ava has been having dance practice for about 3 weeks now! I am taking her to "Just for Kix" in Mendota (I know, I live in Princeton, but she is dancing with her cousins in Mendota for only 6 weeks) and she is loving it! I figure this dance class will help get her jitters out before she dances at the "Main Street Dance Academy" in princeton starting in August. She can write the letters a, b, m & o. She can tell you what sounds letters b and m make and write her name and mom!! She also knows her colors, how to count to 14, all her animals etc........ all the basic stuff!! She attends "Tiny Tigers" here in Princeton 3 days a week for an hour and half a day. I guess she is just my little twin and I love it!
Noah has been quite the little handful! He has been a little climber and loves to explore new things. He has been teething for a while now, but no tooth has popped through, so he has been kind of a crab lately. He does know how to give kisses and hugs. He comes at you with his mouth wide open, but you just can't turn away! He growls at you anytime he can, runs down the halls when you chase him and his laugh is warming!! He is all boy, nothing stands in his way. He does love his daddy though, he has nothing but hugs and kisses for daddy when he comes home from work. Im thinking mommy doesn't get that cause Im always with him.
Wish me luck, cause Im going to shoot my own Turkey this year! i have a turkey tag for May 6th through the 13th. I love going my dad and this year Im going to shoot one of my own. Can't wait!
Steve and I are still going to the met every night together to stay in shape. He is down 90lbs and Im not sure how much I have lost but I do know that I have gone down 2 pant sizes! gotta love size 6! We are just toning our shape more now but lifting weights and doing cardio! Our diet has stunk the last 2 months, but we are going to get back on the diet and see if it makes a difference at home!
Well thanks for reading..........hope I didn't bore you too much!!!

Noah's 1st Birthday!

Wow, that year went by fast! Noah is getting so big, I wanna cry! His birthday was March 1st, so we got him a cake and some ice-cream and invited the grandmas over to help us celebrate. Noah went crazy over the cake (we have a short video on facebook). His party was March 7th, we had a lot of people come to celebrate with us! Noah is truly set for toys and clothes! Im thinking Ava had more fun then he did, cause she had so many friends come over and play with her. By the end of the day Noah was so tired he went to bed at about 630 and slept till 730 the next morning! He was wiped out!
He is so smart too! Since he is one now, he only gets his pacifier when he takes naps and goes to bed at night. It doesn't even leave his crib anymore. So is starting to talk more! He is waving bye bye, clapping, and practically running all over the house. He loves it when you chase him, but when I get on the floor and hold my arms out for him he comes running to me for hugs, I love it!
Not much more has been going on with us! Maybe next time I will have more to say!

Wow, it's been a while! I have a reason though. Things with us have been pretty busy, but we are all settled down and so happy. Back in November we listed our home on the market, we thought it would take a year to sell and that would give us time to find a new home or build a home. Well, the house sold in 30 days! We moved completely out on December 26th, and moved into a rental home in Dover. Wasn't all about the renting, but we needed a place to camp till we figured out what to do, build or buy! We were fully moved in on the 1st of January and rent was cheap, so we wanted to be in that home for a year and save more money to put toward building of buying. On the 11th of Jan. the owner told us that he sold the house and we have till February 19th to be out! Yeah, no kidding. We looked all over princeton, Wyanet and Tiskilwa for a place to rent and nothing was open, cause we have a dog too! There was nothing on the market that we liked and we didn't want to buy just to get into a house. At the same time, the building numbers came back and wasn't in our price range to do so. That is our dream, to build some day, but that "someday" isn't coming anytime soon. Steve and I had an awesome realtor! She told us about a house that was going on the market sometime in May. We didn't want to wait that long and wanted to see it asap, so she set it up. When we were waiting in the driveway for her to show up, Steve and I were already in love! The owners wanted to touch things up a bit, but we wanted the house "as is". Who's to say that the work they do, Steve and I will like, just take it off the top asking price and we can do it the way we want. They didn't mind that at all. The day we looked at the house was the day we put in an offer (Monday), by that Thursday the house was ours. We also got pre-ownership of the home so we could move in and have a place to live before closing.
We are now in a beautiful subdivision in Princeton called Greencroft! We are so happy, and can't wait for summer to take a walk around our new neighborhood and meet our neighbors. Steve and I have big plans for the house, but for right now we are just stripping wallpaper (cause it's in every room of the house) and putting paint on the walls. We will then be looking at flooring and maybe next year getting new cabinets, countertop and appliances.
The kids are so excited about the house too, Ava loves that she has her own princess balcony. Mommy and Daddy are not too thrilled about that, but we will have to get over it. Noah just loves that he now has the biggest room in the house so all the toys are in his room. Ava wants her room painted purple again with pink curtains, so we will picking a weekend to do that for her too. Noahs room can wait, he already has red carpet and blue walls........yuk i know, but it looks kind of nice and it's boyish.
Noah's first birthday is coming on the 1st of March. Time has sure flown by! Im wanting another baby already, but I know that it just not going to happen. Two kids is enough, since I have one of each, I shouldn't be greedy. Well till next time, im going to sign off here!

The Holidays

Christmas is right around the corner! This year has gone by so fast. I have so many memories that make me smile. In March my son Noah Bernard was born. In June, Steve and I shared our 4 year anniversary. In July, I got to witness a awesome girl get married to a great guy. In August, my daughter celebrated her 3rd Birthday. Then we had Halloween and Thanksgiving, and watching my children grow, every day of the year.

Ava has been in heaven with all the snow we have gotten this week. She can't take her eyes off the window. She is starting to get a cold, so she hasn't been able to go out and play in the snow. All she wants to do is throw snowballs at me and her daddy! She got to throw one on Tuesday when she went to school. One wednesday, we had a blizzard, so she didn't get to attend school (I couldn't get out of the driveway). Ava is also getting very excited about Santa Clause! I need to get her to the mall so she can get her picture taken with him. She can't wait to bake cookies and put the glass of milk out for him. We already wrote him a letter, and got one back, and also made out a christmas list. I believe that the presents don't get put under the tree by mom and dad. Santa puts the presents there on Christmas eve night when kids are all sleeping, so my tree stays empty till that night. Also, cause Noah would destroy them, and it would just bother Ava that the presents aren't being open.

Noah has decided to walk, and walk everywhere. He doesn't like to be held much, but that is okay with me cause that means he will be independent. He still cuddles with Mommy, but only when he is tired or not feeling well. Noah has been sick all week, but is getting better. He is still on formula, but eating some solids for me too. I am blending up chicken breast in a food processor (not into a liquid) just chopped and I put cream of chicken soup on it. He loves it!! I also do a baked potato with green beans and chicken with green beans. He seems to like that better than the baby food, and it is cheaper!! He has accomplished so much in the 9 months he has been here! Im still working on the Dada thing, but he can say Momma. He only says it when "he" wants to though. I thought that maybe he was a little behind, but he is ahead in other things so Im not worried anymore. Everyday he amazes me.

On another note, we will be spending 2010 in a different home :-( We are not sure what we are going to do yet, buying or building. Till then we are going to rent.

Steve and I have a lot on our plates this month! Christmas is right around the corner, and believe it or not, we can not wait till it is over! I love Christmas and my daughter is starting to "get it", but all the shoppers, traffic and stress that comes with Christmas is not my thing. I have chosen to do all of my shopping this year at Wal-Mart (cause Princeton only has a wal-mart). Forget about going to Peru, I hate having to wait, and the drive there only to find out that they sold out what you went for.
My kids are my life, and that is no joke. Im a stay home mom, and when I do leave the house, I have one in my arms and one holding my hands the entire way. I don't know what it is like to leave the house without kids. Im sure I would be lost. My oldest, Ava, has started "Tiny Tigers" in Princeton, she is on her 4th week of going and loves it. Im sure we will put in it again next year to help her get ready for preschool. My son, Noah, was 9 months old on the 1st of December and is trying to walk already. He can take 4 to 5 steps before he falls, but he gets right back up and tries it again. He has 6 teeth already and I know there are more trying to come in. Steve is keeping busy with work at PHS. He has taken on so many responsibilities there to make it possible for me stay home with the kids. I can't complain, because he is home by 4 every night.
We are both working on getting into shape and better health. Together we go to the BCMC every night at 430 and motivate each other to get a great work out in, then its home to have a nice healthy meal with the kids. We really don't have much time with family or even friends during the week, but always try and catch up on the weekends. Steve and I have said that the best kind of night is Us and the kids watching a movie in our theatre together. So with that said, we really don't go out much!!
Not sure what else to talk about since this is my first blog! I probably won't post something everyday, maybe once a week. Have a wonderful week.
